Yonkers Officer Facing Drug Charges Enters Treatment

YONKERS, N.Y. -- A city police officer who was arrested after allegedly being caught in the middle of a drug transaction is now in treatment, according to News 12.

Officer Scott Stefanik was allegedly caught with various pills and cocaine earlier this month.

Stefanik has been a member of the department for three years, working in the Communications Division. Officials said he has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of this investigation.

He is reportedly expected to be arraigned after he completes treatment.
