Yonkers Man Picked Up On Outstanding Warrant

YORKTOWN, N.Y. - A Yonkers man was arrested in Yorktown over the weekend following a routine traffic stop that revealed he had an active warrant in his home city, police said on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, the Yorktown Police Department announced that Yonkers resident Prince Lee, 24, was arrested on Saturday after being stopped for operating a motor vehicle without a muffler.

According to police, at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, officers stopped Lee on Crompond Road after he was observed allegedly operating the illegal vehicle. During the subsequent traffic stop, it was alleged that Lee had an active arrest warrant for assault and criminal obstruction of breathing in Yonkers.

Lee was transported to the Yorktown Police Department before being turned over to the Yonkers Police Department Warrant Squad. He is due back in court later this year.
