Yonkers Man Flees After Hitting Parked Car In Bronxville, Police Say

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - An 82-year-old man from Yonkers was cited for multiple vehicle and traffic violations after having to be flagged down by police in Bronxville after striking a parked car.

A Park Place resident reported to police shortly before 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 22 that a driver had struck her parked car and continued to drive on while witnesses attempted to flag the man to stop.

After reviewing village surveillance cameras, the driver was identified as an elderly man from Yonkers who was issued citations for leaving the scene of an accident, moving unsafely, unsafe backing, driving across hazardous pavement markings, moving from a lane unsafely and disobeying a stop sign.


All of the summonses are returnable to the Bronxville Village Court on Sept. 13. A New York State Driver Review was also completed by responding officers at the scene.
