YONKERS, N. Y. -- A Yonkers man is facing endangerment charges after police in the Bronx had to rescue his toddlers Friday from a locked, hot car, News 12 Westchester reports.

Jarad Shaoib is charged with endangering the welfare of a child after a New York City police officer had to break his car windows to get the 1-year-old and 3-year-old out of the car. The doors were locked and windows were up and the engine was off, News 12 Westchester says.
