Clarence Thomas, 30, was arraigned Thursday afternoon in Yonkers Criminal Court, where he was charged with second-degree assault, a felony.
Yonkers police said on March 14, at roughly 6:10 a.m., police and EMS responded to 121 Ludlow St., after receiving reports of a baby who was not breathing. The infant, Natalia Johns, was taken an area hospital where she died that same morning.
Police arrested the child’s father a week later after and began an investigation after conducting several interviews, officials said.
No further information was released as police said the investigation is active and ongoing.
