The tenants were given the okay to enter their destroyed apartments at 28 Carlyle Ave., by the fire department to try and salvage items.

One tenant told News 12 she had hundreds of dollars stolen along with an Xbox. The tenant blamed the landlord for not boarding up, or securing the building, said News 12.

Om Dhiman, the building's owner said he hired security. On Wednesday, he had work crews at the building boarding up windows, added News 12.
