Wake Held For Yonkers Man Who Attempted To Rescue Boy

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Yonkers residents gathered to mourn a local man on Sunday, Sept. 14, who sacrificed his own life to save a boy who was drowning in the Hudson River, according to News 12 Westchester.

Boyce Coleman jumped into the river on Sunday, Sept. 7, during a gathering at JFK marina to save 5-year-old Stephen Jones. His body was recovered shortly after the boy was saved, News 12 Westchester said.
