Juan Garcia, 47, of the Bronx, turned himself in for stabbing 25-year-old Billy Sierra around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday in the area he vicinity of Eastchester Place and Hollers Avenue, NYPD officials said.
That's when Sierra reportedly flipped his middle finger and the group he was with continued on their way to a local restaurant. After they drove by, Garcia, enraged over the incident, jumped in his car with two others and followed the Honda.
As Sierra and his friends got out of the car at the restaurant, Garcia pulled up and asked who had flipped the "bird." Sierra admitted to having done so and Garcia got out of the car and several of the group got into a fight with Garcia, who pulled out a knife and stabbed Sierra numerous times.
Police said Sierra was treated by emergency personnel at the scene and transported to Jacobi Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation into the incident led police to Garcia, who then turned himself him, NYPD officials said.
He was charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
Garcia is being held without bail.
