The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. at 71 Oak St., when a group of intoxicated people got into an argument, said Sgt. Dean Politopoulos.
One person was hit with a broken broom handle during the fight, he added.
No one was seriously injured and police are investigating the incident. No arrests have been made at this time.
