Report: Alleged Cross-Dressing Killer Faces Yonkers Murder Charges

YONKERS, N.Y. – An alleged killer who apparently cross-dressed to escape police is headed back to Yonkers to face murder charges from three years ago, according to a report by News12.

Ronnell Jones, 23, was expected to be charged Thursday with murder for his alleged involved in a 2010 murder of two reputed gang members at the Cromwell Towers in Yonkers, the report said.

Two men from Brooklyn were also reportedly involved in the killings.  Both men pleaded guilty in January to murder charges, according to News12.

Jones avoided capture by police in part by dressing like a woman, the report said.  He was reportedly arrested last year in Chicago after he was found with a loaded gun during a traffic stop, the report said.  He has since been acquitted on those charges.

He also faces charges connected to multiple assaults, including one on a small child, News12 said.  If convicted, Jones could face 25 years to life in prison.
