Police Probe Third Recent Bank Robbery In Yonkers

YONKERS, N. Y. -- Yonkers police are investigating the most recent in a rash of area bank robberies after a man made off with an undisclosed amount of money Wednesday from the Atlantic Bank at Manor House Square.

The suspect approached a teller, handed over a plastic bag, and requested money before fleeing bank on foot northbound on North Broadway with an undetermined amount of currency, Yonkers Police said.

Multiple units canvassed the area extensively, but the suspect was not located. 

The suspect is a white male, possibly between 40 to 50 years of age, and wearing an army type fatigue jacket with a hood, according to police.

This is the third recent robbery in Yonkers, though suspects have been arrested in the other two cases.
