Police Investigating Shooting That Leaves Yonkers Teenager Dead

YONKERS, N.Y. - Yonkers police are seeking the community’s assistance in tracking down a shooter that left a local teenager dead.

Shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the Yonkers Police Department’s Communications Division received a call from St. Joseph’s Medical Center alerting them that a 19-year-old victim had been dropped off at the Emergency Room with a gunshot wound.

After being treated, the victim, later identified as Elias Flores, was pronounced dead less than a half hour later.

According to police, the shooting may have occurred in the Nodine Hill neighborhood in the city. The person that dropped Flores off remains unidentified.
