GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- A fire struck Sprainbrook Nursery at 448 Underhill Road on Sunday night after two 50-pound propane tank explosions occurred, according to a report by LoHud.com.

On Tuesday, Greenburgh Police Chief Chris McNerney told the Daily Voice an active investigation is under way to determine the exact cause of the fire.

The nursery, located near the Sprain Brook Parkway and a town Department of Public Works facility near the village of Ardsley, has been operating since 1944.

The Greenville Fire Department and firefighters from Fairview, Hartsdale, White Plains, Eastchester, Scarsdale and Yonkers fire departments responded to the scene.

The explosions did not result in any injuries or deaths, but shook nearby houses, the report said.
