Police Investigate Stabbings, Shooting In Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. -- A 19-year-old male was stabbed on Henry Hertz Street on Friday, April 11, according to a Yonkers Police report.

The teen, whose name was withheld, was expected to survive the injuries, according to police.

The following are other incidents reported to the Third and Fourth precincts of the Yonkers Police Department over the weekend: 

  • Saturday, April 12 -- At approximately 10:45 pm, a 21-year-old male was stabbed in the neck and abdomen at 55 Palisade Ave. He was taken to a local trauma center and he is expected to survive the injuries. Three suspects fled on foot.
  • Sunday, April 13 -- At approximately 1:38 a.m., Third Precinct units responded to 119 Ludlow St. on a report of shots fired. Numerous shell casings were recovered, but no victims were found at scene.
  • Sunday, April 13 -- At approximately 8:45 pm, a 21- year-old female sustained gunshot wounds to her hand and legs at 59 Palisade Ave. The injuries are not life threatening. It is unknown if the victim was the intended target. .
