On June 6, 2014, Leroi Bouche, 28, drove his vehicle at a high rate of speed at a Yonkers police detective who along with other members of the Westchester District Attorney’s Narcotics Initiative were attempting to effect a car stop. Bouche struck the detective with his vehicle causing serious injury, DiFiore said.

Bouche fled on foot and was arrested in the Bronx on June 12.

The officer remained at Jacobi Medical Center for several days as a result of his injuries, DiFiore said.

Bouche faces a maximum of 15 years in prison. He will be sentenced on May 20.
