Man With Switchblades Among Yonkers PD's 'Most Wanted'

YONKERS, N.Y. - More than a year after being accused of weapons charges, Yonkers detectives continue their investigation into a homeless man from the Bronx, who remains among the Police Department’s “most wanted.”

According to police, on Sept. 23, 2015, George Martin - who was last seen on College Avenue in the Bronx - “is wanted for the crime of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.” Police said the 6-foot 3-inch, 165-pound suspect was in possession of two illegal switchblade knives.

Police have cautioned that Martin is considered extremely dangerous, and residents should take no action to apprehend him. Anyone with information about the case can contact the Yonkers Police Warrant Squad at (914) 377-7253, and if he is spotted in Yonkers, 911 should be called. If he is observed outside of Yonkers, local law enforcement should be contacted immediately.
