Man Shot, Woman Stabbed In Yonkers, Police Say

YONKERS, N.Y. – Yonkers police are investigating a shooting and a stabbing that took place in the city over the weekend.

An unidentified 25-year-old man was shot in the chest while he was standing outside 153 North Broadway around 3 p.m. Sunday, April 24, police said.

He was taken to a local trauma center where he was reported to be in serious, but stable condition, police said.

Meanwhile, a 33-year-old Yonkers woman was hospitalized with a stab wound to her chest on Saturday, Apeil 23, police said.

A 30-year-old man who was an acquaintance of the woman’s was arrested, police said.

The victim is expected to survive.

The stabbing occurred during a domestic incident at the woman’s apartment on South Broadway, police said.
