Man Injured In Yonkers Shooting

YONKERS, N.Y. -- A shooting in Yonkers early Thursday morning left a 50-year-old male resident with one gunshot wound to his right thigh on the third floor of a building on Whelan Place, according to a report by News 12 Westchester.

Police said the man got into an altercation in the building and was shot once, the report said. 

It is unclear why the fight occurred and the shooter's motive, who is still at large, is unknown, according to the report. 

The man was taken to Westchester Medical Center where he was treated and released, the report said.
