Shortly after noon on Friday, police were dispatched to the TD Bank branch at 824 Central Park Ave. for a reported bank robbery that took place. Responding officers were on scene in less than a minute, but were unable to apprehend the suspect following a canvas of the area.

Police described the suspect as a Hispanic male that is approximately 5-foot 6-inches, dressed in all black with black sunglasses. Investigators said that the suspect offered a note to the bank teller, demanding money and threatening the use of a firearm - though no weapon was ever displayed during the alleged robbery.

The man was handed an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing on foot north on Central Park Avenue, police said. The FBI assisted during the investigation last week. Anyone with information about the incident or suspect has been asked to contact Greenburgh detectives at (914) 989-1710.
