Fire At Yonkers Home Being Investigated

YONKERS, N.Y. -- More than 40 Yonkers firefighters responded to a house fire on Maple Street on Sunday, according to Westchester News 12.

The three-story wood frame house at 44 Maple St. caught fire, Thomas F. Fitzpatrick Jr., deputy chief of personnel at the Yonkers Fire Department, wrote in an email to the Daily Voice and other local media outlets.

Officials kept flames from spreading beyond the third floor apartment and everyone got out safely, according to Westchester News 12.

While officials believe the fire was accidental, they are still investigating the situation, Westchester News 12 reported.
