Sharlene Stinson, 46, was killed as a stolen van crashed into her sedan. The two suspects, a 16-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl, are in critical condition.

Commissioner Charles Garner said that since the van was allegedly involved in robberies and was being driven in a reckless manner, the circumstances permitted a pursuit by police officers, lohud.com reported.

The identities of the teenagers or the officers have not been released.
