Family Files $20M Suit Against Yonkers In Police Raid Fatal Fall Incident

YONKERS, N.Y. – The family of Dario Tena, who died after falling four stories out of a window during a police raid in 2014, is suing the city of Yonkers for $20 million, reports lohud.

The lawsuit, filed Tuesday by Tena’s sister and son, claims that Tena’s death occurred during an illegal raid and was the result of officials’ lack of supervision, according to the report.

The lawsuit also lists Yonkers Police Commissioner Charles Gardner, Deputy Chief William Cave, and the sergeant, detectives and other police officers who were involved in the raid according to lohud.
