YONKERS, N.Y. - Patrons at the Yonkers Riverfront Library received a scare on Wednesday afternoon when a bomb threat forced an emergency evacuation.

Shortly before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, dozens were evacuated from the library to allow police and K-9 units sweep the building. The threat was ultimately unsubstantiated and the library was reopened approximately an hour later.

Police are currently investigating the false threat. According to a News12 report, a woman was taken into custody during the evacuation, but it is unclear if she had any connection to the threat that was phoned in.
