Bank Robbery Suspect At Large After Manhunt Leads To Saw Mill Shutdown

This story has been updated. YONKERS, N.Y. -- A bank robbery suspect remains at large early Monday evening after a stretch of the Saw Mill River Parkway was shut down while police conducted a search in Yonkers.

The parkway was closed in both directions between Executive Boulevard and Tuckahoe Road for more than an hour after the robbery at the Chase Bank on Nepperhan Avenue around 12:15 p.m.

The suspect reportedly passed a note demanding money to the teller, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The roadway was reopened by 1:30 p.m., and the bank reopened by late Monday afternoon.

A physical description or photo of the suspect has not yet been provided.
