Authorities Seize $30 Million In Heroin In Yonkers, Bronx

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Two men were arraigned on drug charges on Sunday after State and New York City authorities seized approximately 141pounds of heroin during a bust in Yonkers and sections of the Bronx, according to LoHud.com.

Ramon Rivas and Jose Rodriguez were both charged with counts of first and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after authorities found the heroin, valued at approximately $30 million, spread across three locations, LoHud.com said. 

The drugs were found in a Jeep Cherokee, a Bronx apartment and a Yonkers storage facility. It is the third multi-million dollar heroin bust in the area this year, Lohud.com reported.
