10-Year-Old Girl Hit By Pick-Up Truck, Sustains Minor Injuries

YONKERS, N.Y. – A 10-year-old girl from Yonkers was released from a local hospital Thursday after being hit by a pick-up truck at Lamartine and Warburton avenues.

A 2007 Ford pick-up truck around struck the child at about 7:25 a.m. Thursday as she attempted to cross the street going north.

The driver says they had a green light and didn’t see the pedestrian, according Yonkers Police Det. Lt. Patrick McCormack. No summonses or charges were filed, and no arrests were made.

McCormack said the child sustained only superficial injuries and has been treated and released from a local trauma unit.
