YONKERS, N.Y. -- Wilona Delamater (nee Schenke) of Yonkers died Monday, Feb. 23, at age 78.
She was born Nov. 29, 1936, to Paul and Rose (Kovsik) Schenke in the Bronx, where she was raised and graduated from Roosevelt High School.
Delamater is survived by her two children, Peter (Angela) Doyle and Lisa Lassy. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Brian, Kristen and Matthew; and her sister, Rosemary Zaremba.
Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 27, from 9-10:30 a.m., when funeral services will start. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
