Victor George Kotiadis, 89, Former Ossining Resident

NEW HOLLAND, Pa. - Victor George Kotiadis of New Holland, formerly of Trumbull, Conn., Ossining, N.Y., Yonkers, N.Y., and Riverdale, N.Y., died Sunday, Oct. 26. He was 89.

Kotiadis was born Sept. 3, 1925, in New York City, N.Y., to George and Mary Pirounakis Kotiadis. He was a longtime resident of Connecticut before moving to Pennsylvania in 2004. He was an airplane mechanic in the Air Force during World War II. Before his retirement, he was a supervisor in the motor vehicle and equipment repair division at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection. He had also worked as an auto mechanic and a financial investor.

Kotiadis is survived by his wife, Jeanne; daughter, Victoria Fosco (Chris) of Newtown, Conn.; son, George V. Kotiadis (Cathy) of Wallkill, N.Y.; five grandchildren; sister, Olympia Zappas (Andrew) of Milford, Conn. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, James and William; and sister, Anne Fortosis.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, Conn. Funeral services will take place Thursday, Oct. 30 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.
