YONKERS, N.Y. – Velia Catherine Augusto, of Yonkers, died on July 25 after a short illness. She was 74.
Augusto is survived by her children; son Philip Rutherford, daughter Cynthia Wainwright and her husband Joseph, son Lance Rutherford and his wife Kathy, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law Charles and Mercedes Augusto, two nieces and one nephew.
A mass of the Resurrection is set for Tuesday (today) at Church of the Immaculate Conception, located at 16 North Broadway in Irvington.
