Trevis Volpicelli, 91, Of Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. – Trevis Volpicelli, 91, a lifelong Yonkers resident, died Sunday, March 1.

He was born Nov. 6, 1923, to Pasqualina and Pasquale Volpicelli. He attended Yonkers Public Schools and graduated from Commerce High School in 1941. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving as technical sergeant in the Pacific Theater of World War II, during which time he participated in the battle of Iwo Jima. On Nov. 12, 1950, he married Antoinette Concia, also of Yonkers, in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. He was a manager for CIT Financial Services and the controller at the Park Lincoln Mercury auto dealership in Yonkers and retired in 1994.

He is survived by his wife, Antoinette, of Yonkers; his daughters, Donna Volpicelli (Della Croce) of Levittown, N.Y.; Lynn DeLuca of Yorktown Heights; Lisa Kalfus of River Vale, N.J.; son-in-law, Ethan Kalfus of River Vale; a brother in Yonkers; and five grandchildren.

He was predeceased by three brothers and six sisters.

Friends may call on Tuesday, March 3, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Sinatra Memorial Home Inc. 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers. A funeral ass will take place on Wednesday, March 4, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church (Nepera Park). Entombment will take place at Ferncliff Cemetery.
