Tito Pellicone, 88, Yonkers World War II Veteran

YONKERS, N.Y. – Tito Pellicone of Yonkers died Feb. 12. He was 88.

Born Nov. 19, 1924, in Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of Anthony and Rose Pellicone. He served in the Army during World War II.

He married Dorothy Francese on Nov. 18, 1950. He worked for the U.S. Postal service in New York City until his retirement in 1986.

Pellicone is survived by his wife; three children, Linda (Michael) Ryan, Michael Pellicone and Diann (Nicholas) Farda; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by seven siblings.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Yannantuono Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church in New Rochelle. Burial will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery in New Rochelle.
