YONKERS, N.Y. – Thomas M. Boland, of Yonkers, died on Wednesday, May 27. He was 82.
Boland was born on Sept. 21, 1932, to Patrick and Catherine Boland in County Clare, Ireland.
Emigrating to the Bronx at age 19, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He worked as a carpenter for Local 608 in Manhattan until retiring in 1998.
Boland was predeceased by his wife Eileen (O'Shaunnessy) Boland, and is survived by his six children; Patrick, Gerard, Thomas, Catherine, Eileen and Patricia; his brother, Gerald, 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday, May 29, from 3 to 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Visitation Church on Saturday, May 30, at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in County Clare, Ireland.
