Stavroula Kokkoris, 89, Of Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Stavroula Kokkoris, 89, a longtime resident of Yonkers died on April 19, 2016.

Stavroula was born to Mihalis and Eleni Agriodimas of Apidia, Laconia, Greece. Stavroula came with her husband and children to the United States in 1968 following which she went to work for Super X Electronic Factory for 28 years. Upon her retirement Stavroula worked in her family's businesses; Koris Florist in Eastchester and Koris Nursery in Scarsdale. Stavroula was predecessed by her husband, Theodore Kokkoris, her daughter Magdalin and son Michael. Stavourla is survived by her loving family which include her brother Thanasis Agriodimas of Apidia, Laconia, Greece, Her son Spiros of Yonkers, New York, her daughter Marilyn Kalodimas and her husband Yanni of Athens, Greece, her daughter-in-law Rita Kokkoris, of Mohegan Lake. Other survivors include her beloved grandchildren Theodore Kokkoris and his wife Vasso, their children Theodore and Michael of Astoria, Nicholas Kokkoris and his wife Alexandra, their daughter Eloise of Wilmington, DE and George and Theodore Kalodimas of Athens, Greece. Stavroula is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews throughout New York and Greece. 

Visiting hours will be at Bennetts Funeral Home in Scarsdale on Thursday, April 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church, where Stavroula was a member for over 44 years, on Friday, April 22 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Hastings.
