Sr. Marie DeCurtis, F.S.P. (Formerly Sr. M. Raymond), 82,

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Sr. Marie DeCurtis, F.S.P. (Formerly Sr. M. Raymond) died Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at age 82.

She was born Feb. 18, 2015, to Raymond and Marie (Giadello) DeCurtis in New York City, where she was raised and graduated from Cathedral High School. She received her BA in history from Ladycliff College and her masters from Hunter College.

She entered the Franciscan Sisters of Peace Sept. 8, 1950 and made her final vows Sept.  2, 1957. She worked as a teacher at Franciscan High School in Mohegan Lake and later became the administrator of the school. She then went to Assumption School in Peekskill for 14 years, and was the secretary/computer room supervisor at Maria Regina High School for 10 years.

She is survived by two step-brothers, Dominic and Anthony DeCurtis, and two step-sisters, Margaret Gabel and Carmela Lee, as well as her cousins, Loretta Burns, Paul and Jerome DeCurtis.

Visiting hours will be from 3-7 p.m. Thursday at the Marian Woods Convent, 152 Ridge Road, Hartsdale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Marian Woods. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
