Sr. Agnes Connolly, S.C., 95, Of Yonkers, Worked At St. Joseph Hospital

YONKERS, N.Y. - Sister Agnes Connolly, S.C., (formerly Sr. Agnes Miriam), of Yonkers died Nov. 17. She was 95.

Sr. Connolly graduated from St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing, and later ministered there as assistant director. She also ministered at St. Vincent Hospital in New York City and at St. Joseph Hospital, Yonkers as a nurse, nursing supervisor and director of Nursing. She held various leadership positions in the Sisters of Charity as council member and as president of the congregation and was director for Mission of the Alliance for Catholic Health Care and a trustee on numerous boards of the Sisters of Charity and the Archdiocese of New York.

Sr. Connolly is survived by her sisters, Catherine Harris and Mary Dwyer of New York City; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Mount St. Vincent Convent, with a vigil service at 6:30 p.. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20 at the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception. Burial at the Sisters Cemetery.
