Sister Margaret Taylor, Of Yonkers, 84

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Sister Margaret Taylor died at the Convent of Mary the Queen in Yonkers on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015.

She entered the Sisters of Charity of New York on Sept. 8, 1950.

Sister Taylor ministered at Holy Name and Immaculate Conception, Manhattan; St. John the Evangelist, White Plains; Immaculate Heart of Mary, Scarsdale; St. Mary of the Snow, Saugerties; St. Denis and Sacred Heart, Yonkers.

She is survived by her sister, Edith Labella, and her brother, William Taylor; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and the Sisters of Charity, with whom she shared her life for 64 years.

Her wake will be held Sunday, Feb. 8, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., with a vigil service at 4:15 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, Feb. 9, at 10:30 a.m. Both the wake and funeral services will be held at the Convent of Mary the Queen in Yonkers. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery in Yonkers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of Charity of New York.
