YONKERS, N.Y. – Sister Damian Marie McKeever, (Mary Agnes), died at the Convent of Mary the Queen in Yonkers on Sunday, March. 1. She was 86.
She entered the Sisters of Charity of New York on Sept. 8, 1946, ministering at St. Paul, Brooklyn; Sacred Heart, Manhattan; St. Patrick, Bedford Village; St. Peter Poughkeepsie; Our Lady of the Angelus, Rego Park; Resurrection, Rye and St. Paul School, Valley Cottage.
McKeever is survived by her brother, Joseph, several nieces and nephews, and the Sisters of Charity.
Arrangements are at the Convent of Mary the Queen.
A wake is set for Wednesday, March 4 at 2 to 5 p.m. with a vigil service at 4:15 p.m., and a Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 5, at 9:30 a.m.
Interment will be at St. Agatha Cemetery in Nanuet.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of Charity of New York.
