Salvatore Tascione, 88, Yonkers Resident

YONKERS, N.Y. – Salvatore Tascione, Yonkers resident, died Monday, Jan. 18. He was 88.

He served in the U.S. Navy and worked as an inspector for General Motors in Tarrytown. 

He was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan and had a passion for singing and dancing, especially to his all-time favorite, Frank Sinatra. His favorite past time of all was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughters, Lori (Raymond) Scaperrotta, Lisa (Richard) Bernarducci and son, Robert (Randi) Tascione; and grandchildren Amanda and Raymond (Lori) Scaperrotta, April and Ashley (Lisa) Bernarducci and Samuel (Robert) Tascione; and his sister Angelina Raimondi.

His wife, Annabelle, predeceased him.

The family will be present Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at F. Ruggiero & Sons, Inc., 732 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers. 

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
