Salvatore F. Campoli, 82, Formerly Of Yonkers

ARDSLEY, N.Y. -- Salvatore F. Campoli, a resident of Ardsley and a former resident of Yonkers, died on April 26. He was 82.

Campoli was born in Brooklyn on May 6, 1932, to Salvatore and Florence Appuzo Campoli.

His family moved to Yonkers in 1936 and he graduated from Saunders Trade and Technical High School. He served in the Army National Guard as a sergeant during the Korean War.

After his service, Campoli came home and founded Campoli Construction Company. He was also a member of the state Elks Association, becoming vice president and district deputy.

He was predeceased by his sister, Carmela and brothers Anthony and Dominick.

He is survived by his wife, Dora S. Perez Campoli, sister Theresa Bilangino and her husband Charles, his aunt Josephine O'Connell, two sisters-in-law, Gloria Campoli and Jovita Perez Fernandez.

Visiting hours are on Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m. at Flower Funeral Home, located at 714 Yonkers Avenue in Yonkers.

A funeral Mass will celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Ashford Avenue in Ardsley. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The American Cancer Society.
