WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. - Rose Munchak (nee Laino) of West Long Branch, formerly of Yonkers, died Saturday, Feb. 8. She was 93.
Munchak was born Aug. 26, 1920, to Daniel and Julia (Gronki) Laino in Yonkers where she was raised and graduated from Commerce High School. In Jersey, she was a parishioner of St. Jerome's Church and was the former president of their social club.
Munchak is survived by her brother, Richard (Joan) Laino of Yonkers; several nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces/nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Daniel and Fred.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Feb. 12 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13 in Christ the King Church. Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
