Rosalie Botcheller, 89, Former Yonkers Resident

YONKERS, N.Y. - Rosalie Botcheller (nee Maschak), formerly of Yonkers, died Monday, March 10. She was 89.

Botcheller was born Oct. 10, 1924, to Harry and Eva (Solen) Maschak in Yonkers, where she was raised and graduated from The High School of Commerce. She was a longstanding member of St. Bartholomew's Church and Bryn Mawr Seniors and previously worked with Lawrence Hospital, Lord & Taylor, Horn & Hardart and Ward Leonard prior to her retirement.

Botcheller is survived by her daughters, Susan (Charles) Warga and Jayne (Mark) Carrig; son, John (Nancy) Botcheller; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and siblings, Anthony, Joseph and Nicolas (Mariecia) Maschak, Anne Chandler and Helen Charleton. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; and siblings, Peter, Michael, John and William Maschak and Mary Hoyko.

Calling hours are Wednesday, March 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, March 13 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, March 14 in St. Bartholomew's Church. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
