Rev. Msgr. Dan Flynn, 91, Former Yonkers Pastor

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Rev. Msgr. Daniel V. Flynn, formerly of Mount Kisco, died on Monday, Oct. 20, at the John Cardinal O'Connor Clergy Residence in Riverdale. He was 91.

Msgr. Flynn had the distinction of being the first priest ordained from Mount Kisco. He also served as the pastor of St. John the Baptist Church in Yonkers and St. Gregory the Great Church in Harrison. 

Rev. Msgr. Flynn was born in Stamford on Jan. 2, 1923 to Daniel V. Flynn and Edna C. Kuehn. Msgr. Flynn graduated from St. Francis Grammar School, Cathedral Prep and Cathedral College.

Msgr. Flynn is survived by two sisters, Mary (Patrick) Hart and Margaret Duffy, and was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Thomas Flynn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 East Main St., Mount Kisco on Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday at St. Francis of Assisi Church from 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m. with a Requiem Mass to follow. Interment is at St. Francis Cemetery.
