TUCKAHOE, N.Y. -- Peter Acquaviva Sr., 86, of Tuckahoe, died Sunday, Aug. 30.
Acquaviva was born May 27, 1929, to Antonio and Mary Ferella Acquaviva. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951-53.
He was an upholsterer for his own company, GBG Associates in Yonkers. He also served as an auxilliary police officer for the Tuckahoe Police Department.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Botte Acquaviva; his children, Susan (James) Nicoletti and Peter (Paula) Acquaviva Jr.; his grandchildren, Michael and Amanda Nicoletti and Peter R. and Alyssa Acquaviva; a sister, Esther Petroro; two brothers, Nicholas and Anthony Acquaviva.
Visitation will be at the Westchester Funeral Home Inc. in Eastchester on Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
