YONKERS, N.Y. - Peggy Slattery of Yonkers died Feb. 4. She was 79.
Slattery was born June 20, 1934, to Paul and Germaine Bartoli in New York City. She was a founding Board Member of Pet Adoption League and a lifelong animal rescue advocate.
Slattery is survived by her daughters, Jean Johnson of Briarcliff Manor and Kathye (Anthony) Catalano of Hawthorne; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Robert Slattery.
Calling hours are Thursday, Feb. 6 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 7 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Hawthorne Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 at the Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne. Interment at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings.
