Pauline Gallagher, 81, Of Yonkers, Executive In Sacred Heart Schools

YONKERS, N.Y. - Pauline Gallagher (nee Leuzzi) of Yonkers died Saturday, April 12. She was 81.

Gallagher was born Oct. 18, 1932, to Ralph and Antionette Leuzzi in Yonkers where she was raised and graduated from Commerce High School. She was the director of cafeteria at Sacred Heart Schools in Yonkers; working for over 30 years. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and was inducted into Sacred Heart's "Hall of Fame" in 2000.

Gallagher is survived by her children, Joseph (Beth Ann) Gallagher of Hopewell Junction, Paul (Lisa) Gallagher of Poughquag, Annette (Brian) Buchanan of Poughquag, Laurie (Jim) Mortensen of Manhattan and Maryellen (Tom) Ebrech of Greenwich, Conn.; and nine grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph R. Gallagher.

Calling hours are Tuesday, April 15 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 16 in the Sacred Heart Church. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum.
