Patrick Castaldo, 95, Of Yonkers, WWII Veteran, Owned Castaldo Bakery

YONKERS, N.Y. - Patrick Castaldo, a lifelong resident of Yonkers, died Nov. 30. He was 95.

Castaldo was born Feb. 28, 1918, to Vincenzo and Antoinette (Notaro) Castaldo. He co-owned the Castaldo Bakery in Yonkers with his brothers Nicholas and Frank. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving overseas during World War II.

Castaldo is survived by his children, Patrick, Linda (Joseph) Fox, Francesca (Dwight) Young, Vincent (Clare) Castaldo; many nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Lena; brothers, Dominick, Nicholas, Fred, Frank and Salvatore; and sisters, Fanny Minozzi and Lucille Inglis.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4 at St. Bartholomew's Church in Yonkers.
