Patricia Maskara, Lifelong Yonkers Resident, 75

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Patricia Maskara (nee Ball), of Yonkers, died on Sunday, July 12, 2015. She was 75 years old.

She was born on March 19, 1940 to Martin L. and Arlene G. Ball in Yonkers, where she was raised, and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. Maskara worked as a bookkeeper for a private accounting firm in Westchester for over 40 years.

On April 8, 1961 she married George Maskara in Sacred Heart Church; he died in 2008. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart, a former parish trustee and was a volunteer and supporter of the North Yonkers Boys & Girls Club.

She is survived by her four children, Bob (Meg) Maskara, of Milford, Penn.; Daniel (Meredith) Maskara, of Sunnyside, Queens; Mark (Lisa) Maskara, of Yonkers; and Nancy (Doug) Horsting, of Yonkers. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; her sister Joanne Moynihan; and her two brothers, Martin (Susan) Ball and William Ball.

Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 14 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday, July 15 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Donations may be made in Maskara's name to the Yonkers Animal Shelter, 1000 Ridge Hill Boulevard, Yonkers, N.Y. 10710.
