Nicholas A. D’Ambrosio, 99, Formerly Of Yonkers, Retired Postal Employee

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Nicholas A. D'Ambrosio of Boca Raton, formerly of Yonkers, died March 30. He was 99.

D’Ambrosio was born Jan. 10, 1915, in Yonkers, N.Y., where he lived and worked until retiring from the U.S. Post Office and relocating to Boca Raton. He served in the U.S. Army in Japan during World War II and with the Civilian Conservation Corps, where he helped build the Grand Coulee Dam in Washington State.

D’Ambrosio is survived by his wife, Ann (nee Sansone); daughter, Livia Fennell; son, Nicholas J. (Marilyn); two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances LaConte and Terry Borelli; brother, Dominick (Edee); and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Tony and Augustine; sisters, Mary and Connie; and son-in-law, Ray Fennell.

Burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in Yonkers was private.
