Michael Salotto, 95, Of Yonkers, WWII Veteran, Butcher At A&P

YONKERS, N.Y. - Michael Salotto of Yonkers died April 6. He was 95.

Salotto was born Nov. 22, 1919, in Yonkers, to Pasquale and Angelina Salotto. He was a World War II Army veteran. He worked as a butcher for the A&P in Yonkers.

Salotto is survived by his wife, Gerda; daughter, Marianne (Anthony) Perrotta; son-in-law, Victor Ringel; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Marie Ringel.

Calling hours are Sunday, April 13 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Sinatra Memorial Home Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY 10704. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 14 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at the Rose Hills Cemetery, Putnam Valley.
