Rizzo was born March 4, 1928, to Gerolamo and Antonina Furia Rizzo in New York City where he was raised and educated. He was an electrician for Lord & Taylor in New York City for over 25 years until his retirement in 1988.
Rizzo is survived by his daughter, Marie Rizzo Riina of Poughquag; and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine; brother, Frank; and sister, Florence Rizzo.
